Musicians, patrons, an architect, and a wide variety of North Philadelphia neighbors tell the story of the famed but closed Uptown Theatre. An effort has been organized to revive this show place that played a critical role in the Rhythm and Blues cultural revolution of the 1950s and 60s. This film includes the last interview with famed impresario and radio personality Georgie Woods
some of you may not know his name but he’s a legend you should research him…he did alot for blacks in radio and the music industry .they’re going to make a movie about him
it seems to be an issue that still confuses people they think that Bi-racial means everyone is the same…this clip is old but this still goes on…this is such a complex issue today
